Jason (JJ) attended the Joico Academy of Hair in Seattle, graduating in 1996. He began his career at The Hair Connection on Capitol Hill before joining Rudy’s Barbershop in Seattle’s University District, where he spent seven years honing his craft. After a brief hiatus from cosmetology, JJ moved to Olympia in 2007 and started as a stylist at Jamie Lee & Company in 2008 and is proud to call JL&Co. his home. JJ enjoys doing all types of hair and loves a diverse clientele from all walks of life. JJ also likes knitting, all fiber work and animals. JJ dislikes tape residue on mirrors and repetitive noises.
With over 15 years in the beauty industry, Katie is a licensed cosmetology instructor passionate about helping clients feel confident and beautiful. She specializes in NBR (Natural Beaded Row) hair extensions, providing seamless, natural-looking results for added length and volume.
Her services include custom coloring, precision haircuts, brow lamination, brow tinting, lash lifts & tints, and facial waxing—all tailored to enhance your natural beauty. She also loves creating stunning wedding and special event hair and makeup, ensuring every bride and guest looks flawless.

Ashley is a New Orleans native and has been a licensed cosmologist since 2014. This industry has always been her passion. She loves giving haircuts, doing color, perming, and styling. It's always her intention for her clients to enjoy their experience whether that means having conversation after the consultation or silent appointments so th can just relax. She believes this salon is a safe space and looks forward to creating with future clients.
Meet Otto, our sweet salon cat born in 2011. Along with his brother Smithfield (RIP Smitty) Otto joined Jamie Lee and Company as a tiny kitten and quickly rose to the esteemed position of Guardian and Mascot of the Salon. Otto is always happy to receive pets and treats, and he excels at being a professional lap warmer.
When he's not napping or basking in adoration, Otto lends a paw at the front desk, often "reorganizing" by knocking things off and sprawling across appointment books or “helping” with the credit card machine. His unique approach to reception duties keeps everyone on their toes and adds a touch of feline flair to the salon experience. Feel free to stop by and say hello to Otto anytime.
